Job Summary
Carhartt Work in Progress is seeking an experienced Assistant Store Manager to assist in overseeing the daily operations of our Los Angeles store. The Assistant Store Manager must be responsible for supporting the Store Manager with daily operations and managing staff, with an emphasis on creating a positive customer experience. The ideal candidate will have 3-5 years of retail experience, preferably in a leadership role, at a retail clothing store in a high traffic environment and a knowledge of diverse business subjects including but not limited to sales, merchandising, reporting, systems operations, and management. An effective Assistant Store Manager will have a proven ability to lead and motivate store associates while achieving sales goals, providing exceptional customer service, and cultivating a positive work environment.
Core Responsibilities
- Meet sales goals by training, motivating, mentoring and providing feedback to team members.
- Ensure high levels of customer satisfaction through excellent customer service techniques.
- Complete store administration and ensure compliance with policies and procedures.
- Maintain outstanding store condition and company’s visual merchandising standards.
- Staff and customer management including scheduling and clienteling.
- Stock and inventory maintenance and management.
Requirements / Qualifications
- Proficient computer skills and knowledge of POS systems and analytics.
- Knowledge and experience with retail business operations and processes.
- 3-5 years of retail experience, preferably in a leadership role.
- Visual merchandising and stock management experience.
- Powerful leadership skills.
- Solid organizational skills.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Able to effectively manage time, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines.
- Strong knowledge and interest in apparel design, clothing industry trends, and current pop culture and Carhartt WIP’s place within it.
Requirements / Qualifications
- Location: Full time at our Los Angeles retail store.
- Reporting Structure: Direct report to the Los Angeles Store Manager.
- Compensation: $50-60K
