Inspired by the idea of imperfection, Spring/Summer 2021 features a slew of Carhartt WIP staples treated and dyed to lend them a richer, more complex coloration or a slightly more rugged, used feel. Our Parkland wash sees a neutral base overdyed and then subsequently bleached, to create a series of dusty, washed-out colorways. The Crater wash, meanwhile, uses a black denim base, to create an intense, murky effect. These are not classic Carhartt WIP pieces as we know them – crisp canvas, uniform in color – but rather, a meditation on the lifespan of a garment. How it starts, and where it ends up.
