    1. Accounting Manager | New York, NY

    Summary

    Carhartt WIP North America is seeking an experienced Accounting Manager to oversee the Accounts Payable (AP), Inventory, and Payroll functions. This individual will manage vendor relationships, supervise payment processes, and ensure timely, accurate, and compliant processing of payables. The role is critical to maintaining financial integrity, strengthening internal controls, and driving efficiency across the AP and Inventory cycles.

    Core Responsibilities

    • Manage invoice and payroll processing, vendor payments, and account reconciliations.
    • Oversee vendor master data accuracy and ensure compliance with internal controls.
    • Monitor AP aging reports and resolve discrepancies in a timely manner.
    • Develop and implement best practices to improve AP efficiency and accuracy.
    • Oversee and process North America payroll: Ensure timely and accurate execution of all pre- and post-payroll activities, including data validation, payroll adjustments, compliance reporting, and coordination with HR on employee changes and benefits.
    • Partner with the Head of Finance to automate the AP process through the implementation of a purchase order workflow and AP automation tool.
    • Support month-end and year-end close processes, ensuring accuracy of AP accruals.
    • Ensure the following cycles are fully reconciled each month: Accounts Payable, Inventory, Prepaid Expenses, Equity, Loans, and Intercompany Payables.
    • Prepare AP-related reports and analysis for management.
    • Assist with group financial and sustainability reporting requirements.

    Skills & Qualifications

    • Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance, or a related field (CPA or CMA preferred).
    • 3–5 years of progressive accounting experience, including at least 2 years in accounts payable management; experience with financial audits is a plus.
    • Strong knowledge of U.S. GAAP and AP best practices; familiarity with IFRS is an advantage.
    • Technology-savvy, with proficiency in ERP systems (NetSuite preferred) and POS systems (Shopify a plus).
    • Demonstrated ability to set priorities and manage multiple tasks, with strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
    • Hands-on, proactive professional with a strong work ethic and “roll-up-your-sleeves” attitude.
    • Excellent communication skills, high attention to detail, and ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
    • High personal integrity, professionalism, and credibility.
    • Absolute trustworthiness, loyalty, and discretion are essential.

    Additional Information

    • Location: Full time at our Soho NY office. Hybrid work schedule, mandated to be in office Tuesday through Thursday.
    • Reporting Structure: Direct report to the Director of Finance
    • Compensation: $80K - $90K

    2. Part-Time Sales Associate | New York, NY

    Summary

    Carhartt WIP is seeking a Part-Time Sales Associate to work at their New York City retail store. The ideal candidate will provide a positive store experience for our customers and possess strong product knowledge in order to meet sales targets.

    Core Responsibilities

    • Engage and connect with customers to create a positive shopping experience.
    • Execute on-floor, in-person, sales strategies.
    • Share product knowledge with customers to maximize sales.
    • Engage with customers to build relationships and brand knowledge.
    • Maintain knowledge of seasonal collections and current available inventory.
    • Assist with daily opening and closing tasks to maintain a clean, neat, and tidy store.
    • Merchandise, stock the sales floor, process payments.
    • Remain positive and professional, working together with the team to make a great environment for our customers and each other.

    Skills and Qualifications

    • Flexible availability to meet the needs of the business (including evenings and weekends)
    • Interest in contemporary fashion, apparel, and pop culture
    • Knowledge of basic sales techniques
    • Outgoing , positive, affable demeanor
    • Bend, lift, open, and move product and fixtures up to 50 lbs., as needed.
    • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, both verbal and written.
    • 1-2 years of retail experience preferred.
    • Independent, proactive, and reliable work ethic.
    • Possess strong knowledge of apparel fits and fabrications.
    • Compensation: $20/hour
