    The Carhartt WIP Skate Team in the Motor City

    Joined by photographer Ben Colen, the Carhartt WIP skate team piled into a van and set out for Detroit, Michigan, to explore the city’s evolving landscape, from the traces of its automotive past to the concrete stretches that define its present.

    Home to an endless array of ledges and Midwestern crust, the city has been made skatable by a community of dedicated, resourceful locals, who have reshaped its terrain with Quikcrete and Bondo – breathing new life into what was previously broken, overgrown, and unaccommodating to the hard urethane of a skate wheel.

    Taking to the streets were US riders Max Palmer, Enzo Kurmaskie, Brett Weinstein, and Treveon Wade, plus Canadian riders Dwayne Anderson, Terrence Fante, and Ben St. Aubin, who spent a week in Detroit and nearby Flint, skating local spots while wearing the Fall/Winter 2025 collection.
